My career goal is to work in music journalism. So, my news sources are mainly music blogs and magazines. Rolling Stone is a well-established source, but it's also a little dated - it's better to use this as one reference, not your only source.
Pitchfork Media is a great resource for music news. Their website also has a really great layout.
