Assignment 1

1) My story idea is about the new camera ticketing machines being put up at intersections.

2) My story is significant because this new technology is helping to make drivers more conscious and the roads a little safer.

3) I think a slide show would be the best option because along with narration, visuals are definitely needed to show the readers what this technology looks like, since they one day could receive a ticket in the mail.

4) The content I would gather would be photos of the devices at intersections and the tickets that people receive in the mail. Any data that could be found regarding the new cameras could be presented with text and graphs. Also narration of someone's first hand experience with these camera ticketing machines would benefit the story greatly.

    This is a story that has such an important news value. Story could be very informative as you approach from various perspectives. I am sure you will have rich contents and audio. Yet, you need to think more about visual package. What photos you want to include? How each photos are related to the story? Is there any obstacle in getting photos?
