Tech Story Idea

My story is about the affect that violent video games like "Grand Theft Auto," "Call of Duty," and the like have on children.

I believe my story is unique and significant because children can be impressionable when it comes to things they see on TV or play on video games. I think it's important because if young children think its fun to drive around in a video game and kill policemen and pedestrians, then they might try it in real life. I want to see if there is any correlation between violent video games and the actions of children. I could interview students on campus if they have heard of any incidents where a child has killed someone, because they did it on a video game. I could also ask people if they consider violent games to be a problem in today's society.

A slide show is the best multimedia option for this particular story, because there is potential for lots of pictures from these games as well as graphs from the statistics gathered from my research. I could even add quotes from the people I interview.
