1. My story idea is to explore how technology has depersonalized our society. textbooks to ebooks. letters to emails. records/cds to computers/ipods. pictures to digital frames. etc....
2. I want to analyze if all the technology evolving so rapidly is simply because we are lazy. Or if socially our society is now challenged. How many people and how often people are resorting to these technologies instead of taking the time to do something else? There are so many different ways to attack this issue, I'm just curious what is affecting us more.
3. The best way to present might be a video documentary. People on tape talking about their everyday use of modern technology. Perhaps, even make someone try to live a week in the life of no ipods, no television, etc. See how it affects their social skills and productivity. Then even a slideshow of statistics to present real hardcore evidence.
4. My content will start with but not limited to numbers of how much sales of technology has increased, the age group in which it affects the most, how everyday life would be different now. There are many conclusions to be drawn from this research, I'm just not sure what will mean the most to me and my project.

This assignment is a pictorial slideshow and not a video documentary or a feature article. Your story needs to be such that it can be told using original pictures that you take. Also, to make the narrative stronger, you need to include a human interest story in here. My suggestion is that you should look for an alternate topic, which will allow you to do these things while the technological aspect being the backdrop of your story.
